Applications are invited from Indian nationals coming from reserved classifications (SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD (VH, OH, HH)) under unique recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Professor in the Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Design, Earth Sciences, Economic Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and employment Social Sciences, employment Management Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, Space, Planetary & Astronomical Sciences & Engineering (SPASE), Sustainable Energy Engineering, and Kotak School of Sustainability.

Several likewise take part in the teaching and employment research activities of interdisciplinary post-graduate programs in the institute in Photonics Science and Engineering and Materials Science Program. Minimum Qualification (Assistant Professor): Ph.D. with very first class or equivalent (in regards to grades, and so on) at the preceding degree in the proper branch, with a great academic record in all preceding degrees. Other details:

1. The pay carries all other allowances as admissible to a Central Government employee stationed at Kanpur.

2. The benefits, such as LTC, medical re-imbursement, transportation allowance, children education allowance, contribution towards New Pension System (NPS), re-imbursement of telephone bills, book grants, HRA (if real estate not supplied), research initiation grant (approximately Rs 25 lakhs with the provision to obtain an extra grant) and financial support towards nationwide and global conferences will be allowed according to the Institute standards.

3. From its internal resources, the Institute supplies an additional top-up wage of Rs 25,000/- monthly for the first 3 years of service to the newly signed up with professor. After 3 years of service, the professors member(s) are eligible for factor to consider for Young Faculty Fellowship (open for faculty of age upto 40 years) supplying a top-up salary of Rs.15,000/- monthly for 3 years, and/or Faculty Chair positions supplying a top-up salary of Rs 25,000/- each month for three years. Both the positions are offered based upon efficiency.

4. Traveling allowance for signing up with: The Institute will compensate international travel expenditures for the newly signed up with faculty member and dependent member of the family to the maximum limit of Rs. 1,50,000. Domestic travel repayment will be as per federal government guidelines.

6. Mere eligibility will not entitle a candidate for being required interview.

7. Applicants who do not fulfil the minimum experience requirements might be offered a consultation on agreement. The requirements of minimum credentials and/or experience may be relaxed when it comes to candidates with impressive credentials.

Applicants required and appearing in interview will be paid to and fro economy air fare/train fare by the quickest route (within India) and employment taxi fare from Lucknow airport to IITK and employment back.
